CrateCore — Account and Data Deletion Version date: 25 July 2026 App: CrateCore (com.cratecore.app) Operator: independent developer of the CrateCore service Contact: [email protected] This page explains how to delete your CrateCore account and all data associated with it. There are two ways: inside the app, or by email — no installation required. 1. In the app (immediate) Account → Privacy and data → Delete account. The app asks for confirmation. Once confirmed, the account and its data are deleted immediately: no waiting period, no way to restore. Tip: you can export your data first — same place, Account → Privacy and data → Export. The export returns machine-readable JSON: preferences, collection, wishlist, article states, audio setup profile, stylus tracker. 2. By email (if the app is not installed, or already removed) Write to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion" and include either: - the email address linked to your CrateCore account, or - your user identifier, if you saved it (Account → Privacy and data). Send the request from the same address that is linked to the account — that is how we confirm the request comes from the account owner. If no address is linked (anonymous session), deletion is only possible from the app on the device where that session was created: an anonymous account has no way to prove ownership. Timing: we delete no later than 30 days from the request, usually much sooner. We confirm by reply. 3. What is deleted - the authentication account, including email address and profile name; - preferences: genres, drop topics, content language, notification time, timezone, silent-sound setting; - collection and wishlist with all fields (grading, price, purchase date, notes); - article states: read, saved, "interesting"; - audio setup profile and stylus tracker; - device push tokens; - uploaded collection import files; - entitlement records; - the sync journal, notification queue and import journals tied to the account. Your own record photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded — they are removed together with the app. 4. What is not deleted immediately, and why - Database backups. Data of a deleted account disappears from them as backups rotate — no later than 30 days. - De-identified operational logs: rate-limit counters and audit records that contain no user content. Retained 2 to 30 days, then deleted automatically. - Analytics and crash reports (Firebase). These are pseudonymous events with no personal content; collection can be turned off in the app in advance (Account → Privacy and data → Anonymous analytics). Deletion of already collected data — on request to [email protected]. - Editorial articles, facts and sources. They contain no user data. - Data we are legally required to keep longer, or that is needed to investigate a security incident or protect the rights of third parties. 5. Cancelling Once confirmed, deletion is irreversible. Neither the account nor the data can be restored. If you simply want to stop receiving notifications without deleting the account, turn them off: Account → Notifications. 6. Details Full retention periods for each data type are in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy: https://cratecore.app/retention/en/ Questions: [email protected]
